But on topic. 6 classes seems great for an MMO launch. Maybe if they had different mirror classes like SWTOR it would look a lil better.
I feel your pain. I welcome the trinity! Something about zerging a dungeon, dying and running back every 2 minutes was not appealing.. And geez, we were all naked at the end!

I've come to appreciate balanced quality over quantity in classes. I'm fine with fewer choices on release in the hopes for well designed and balanced classes that can be expanded upon later. I've played some new games that seemed to push out a large variety of classes which is great, however they tended to be poorly balanced in various aspects.
I have high hopes for Wildstar, and the devs seem to be of good caliber. Not to mention with the great quirkiness they all share, I bet we get to see some unique classes in the future.

I think 6 classes is going to be fine to start. I would like to see a true support class though. I've played a tank or ranged DPS most of the time in MMOs, but the few times I've been able to play a support role I've really enjoyed it. In COX we had a controller class and they made a big difference in group dynamics. I hear that Neverwinter will have a support class as well.
I just like the idea of having no set role and having to think on your feet. I can do a bit of that on my hunter in WoW, but my role is really DPS.
