Post by Xryus » Fri Apr 05, 2013 12:28 pm

After reading this post I will be playing this game! Looks to be a very fun and interesting crafting/modding system.

Every new thing they release about this game gets me more pumped.

This CBC system looks similar to SWtoR's mod system, which was pretty cool imo.

Very interesting concept for modifying items, and I bet some of the other non-crafting professions will play a big role in making specialty chips, amps, etc. :-)

Completely agree, although I would be lying if I said it didn't make me a wee bit nervous. **crosses fingers**

I just hope they get the small things right. They seem to be hitting all the big news worthy items, but it will be the small things that make the difference to me. The world has to feel alive. The story has to be interesting and fun. And for me the mechanics have to feel right. It would also help to use some of the current leveling designs like GW2 has. Things like shared tagging and some public events. It's fun being able to quest without feeling like other people in your own faction are competitors. Fighting mobs to get to a node only to have someone take it is not a good feeling.

Why I am a little nervous. I'd hate to be this excited and have it not be what I am expecting.

Same! Have played too many games and have this happen. I sooooo want this to be the one game that will make me say yes I will be playing this for a long long time! Its hard not to get excited over it with all the little things they keep trickling out

Agreed wholeheartedly! Adopting successful features from other games should not be anathema to us. Lifting things wholesale? Sure, maybe that could be avoided, but just because something is "in another game already" should not preclude someone else from adding it in to another game. Public Quests, shared mob tagging, shared gathering nodes... I loved all of those, and I hope they make their way into WildStar also.
