Just a couple general questions

Post by Yuri Lyn Arashi » Tue Nov 10, 2015 6:58 pm

As title says, just a few general questions for the people who have already played this game near or to level cap on other servers. I have only played on the garbo Russian private server a little bit, so I don't know much about the game past the basic stuff and other tidbits I've looked up or seen in videos.

1. Will we still be based in the Mushin server at release?

2. I saw you guys were on the crimson side, and there is also an 80 member cap on the guilds in game. Are there plans to make an alt guild? Also, if we do make an alt guild, has anyone considered making it on the cerulean side? I'm not sure of the specifics, but I've vaguely heard about stuff and achievements that you can only get while on certain sides, and also it would be pretty cool imo to have like inter-guild battles with some people on crimson and some people on cerulean. Just a thought :)

3. What does end-game raiding/instance-ing look like? I know that there are no healers and (kind of) no definite "tanks", so is there like a certain composition that works well? I know the basics about every class and the "role" they're supposed to fill, but I'm sure some compositions have more synergy than others. Along the same lines are there like "best" classes for one role, such as X is best aoe dps, X is best tank, X is best cc/support, etc.

4. What does end-game PvP look like as far as things to do? I know there's that open world PvP zone and solo/team arenas, but is there anything else? As far as team arenas go, have you guys found any good combos of classes?

5. Just to get a feel, how many people here are more PvP or PvE oriented? Most guilds tend to lean more to one side than the other, is this true of this guild? I'm usually more interested in the PvP aspects of mmos, so just looking to see who else is down for team arenas or world PvP ^^

I know that's a ton of questions, so don't feel obligated to answer all of them. I'll probably learn most of this when I actually start playing the game, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

For the record, I plan on most likely maining assassin and alting blade dancer and spending most of my time on PvP than PvE.

1. We will make a final decision on server before launch.

2. We have to see how fast our roster fills up before we look at making an alt guild. If we end up making an alt guild, we will most likely keep it on the Crimson side.

3. At launch there will be a few end game raids/dungeons. A handful of 4/6 man dungeons and at least one 24 man raid. On the healer thing, Summoners are are actually very capable of healing if spec'd for it. If everyone is playing there class properly any group composition should be able to clear everything, if geared.

Blade Master and Kung Fu Master: The tanks of the game
Assassin: Highest single-target damage potential
Force Master: Best AOE damage dealer, good single target damage as well
Summoner: CC support, heals and dps
Blade Dancer: High single-target/small group dps
Destroyer: DPS and support

4. There are a few world PvP zones where we can collect tokens for leveling the clan. There are the 1v1, and 3v3 tag team arenas and later on we will get a 6v6 capture the flag arena(awesome). This is one of the few games that I feel PvP is actually balanced among equally geared players, any class has the chance to beat any other class.

5. I can't speak for anyone else but I truly enjoy PvE and PvP about the same and will be doing a ton of both. I enjoy arena PvP every now and then, but will be doing a lot more open world PvP.

Something to remember by the way, you can change what faction you are in for a very very small amount of coin. So if there are some special achievements or items you can only get from one sides quests... its easy enough to swap to the other faction and do it I think. In fact I think there are some achievements for killing players of both factions so you have to swap.

Since you asked about PVP and PVE interest, Id say Im firmly PVX. I love the pve contents of the game, dungeons, raids, Im all for that. And also Im quite happy to head out and murder some folks in open world drama style pvp =D I think open world pvp is my favorite, the instance stuff is okay but nothing quite like a 1v1 gank turning into some 20v20 silly stuff ya know?

If you change faction to get the achievements of for what ever reason do you get auto kicked from the guild by the game? I would think not but at the same time if you must join a faction before joining a guild it does make you wonder. Suppose something we can test out on the next CBT
