Even if you don't plan on playing, log in daily to get the following rewards:

  and a Legendary Piece of Rainbow

Just the 10 Eternity Splinters would be worth it. I'm not sure how long this event runs but if only 5 days, that could get you almost a 1/3rd of the way to a new hero(175 ES for a random hero unlock), not counting how many you get while playing(average is about 1 per 8 minutes going by some comments in official forums).

I have 68 days in a row that I have logged in... Not about to stop now. My highest toon is only 33 so I don't have much use for most of that yet, but I have quite the collection going for when I hit high lvl

I'm a little over 100 days myself(got an Ultron pet on 100th day). You can craft the Pot of Gold legendary with just 3 of the Rainbows and it is usable from level 1. It gives the following bonuses:

The Pot of Gold of Cassidy Keeps gives:
Rank 1: +10% XP
Rank 2: +10% Rare Item Find
Rank 3: +10% Special Item Find
Rank 4: +10 More Credits per drop
Rank 5: Leprechaun-sized chance (1%) when you defeat an enemy to summon a lucky chest! (20 hour cooldown)
