By way of MMO gaming background, I started in Ultima Online. I beta-tested Anarchy Online, and am currently in Landmark's alpha phase. I played EverQuest for quite awhile, but bounced off EverQuest 2 and Age of Conan for World of Warcraft from 0.5 through Wrath of the Lich King. In that period I also played Star Wars Galaxies. Next up was Star Wars: The Old Republic. And then I swore off gaming...blargh, I was burnt out.
Landmark brought me back because their dev team's enthusiasm for it and what will become EverQuest Next has been infectious. I resubbed to EverQuest 2 just last week, but I'm just a casual player, re-immersing myself in MMOs after a long time away.
And then I saw Wildstar..and happily laughed my backside off at the concept. It looks like it'll be fun. Then I stumbled across the Grievance recruitment post on the Wildstar forums..and it recalled all the best things about Guilds. A little deeper dive into this site revealed obvious lessons-learned in what I'll characterize as, "This is what Grievance is not." I could tell the leadership team had been there, dealt with that, and vowed, "Not this time!"

So yeah, if I fit in a guild at all it'll be with a team like this one..because I've also been there, dealt with that, and would really just like to play with great people for the sake of playing. Not for loot - not for drama. I will have to pick up a new gaming headset. My ancient Creative "Fatal1ty" joined the Choir Invisible some time back. I'm in love with my Sennhesier HDR-series wireless cans, but alas, no mic. No worries, I'll remedy that issue right away.
With respect to Wildstar, I'm installed and ready for head start, but I have no idea which faction or even class I want to go with first. I usually play a healer as my primary. We'll see.
In Real Life, I'm 38 years old..in hexadecimal, married 25 years (in base 10), and work as a data scientist for a scary mega-corp bent on world domination..yeah, I may go Dominion to start with in Wildstar. For hobbies, I have played bass guitar for well over three decades (well, not continuously..), and play a smattering of rhythm guitar, keyboards, and drums. Can't sing worth a lick. I used to play a good round of golf, but gave it up. And I am a scary table tennis opponent (speed game anyone?) My wife and I have been owned by a succession of Siberian Huskies throughout our marriage. We're on numbers 5 and 6, currently. Fur is part of a high fiber diet..just sayin'

Well met, Grievance
