I am right there with you. This is actually the first guild that I have played in that requires TS. It is not a bad thing at all, I love hearing all the conversations, but sometimes it does feel intimidating to join in. I was having mic issues the last few days, caused I've never really used a headset, hehe; but finally figured everything out, so hopefully will be ready to go and participate next time.

No worries at all! :)

Shyness is nothing to apologize for. Take all the time you need to get comfortable around us, but please know we are here to help you whenever you need help, or just want to hang out with us!

I used to be VERY intimidated by large guilds, I said I would never join one..now over 3 years later look at me. I can not even imagine gaming anywhere else. :)

You will get there in your own time. Take all the time you need!

See you on Nexus...and I do hope to see you back in teamspeak!

As others have said, however, Grievance is full of kind and understanding people. I remember back when I joined the Horde guild. Nionya, Thalan, and others were sitting in teamspeak. At first, I was too nervous to ask for a guild invite, but then they started talking about chimichangas. At that moment, I knew everything was right in the world.
ahahahaha! Chimichangas!

Nothing wrong with being shy. I have been here for over 2 years now and still have to be one of the most quiet people in channel. I will log on with the resolve that yes! today I will be social...then I see how many people are there...and then the number grows...and my will to speak just goes away. And this has led to me not logging into TS as much as I probably should, knowing that it would probably help if I used it more. So unless someone speaks to me directly, you will not hear a peep out of me. I know probably, eventually I will get over it, but for those of us who are shy by nature....its very, very hard. So relax and know you are not alone. :D

That is fine. My girlfriend is shy as well and when we started dated she hardly said 2 words. But if you want to overcome your shyness then just sit in a channel with me. Trust me you won't be shy after that LOL. But seriously it is no problem just take it one step at a time.

This.

I am a "mature", professional, man who has to do telephone conferences regularly and run projects with very diverse people, and even I was a little intimidated when I first got on Grievance's TS!! :). You get used to the controlled chaos. Just jump in when you are ready.
