Re: Good interview with Stephan Frost...
That's a good read, thanks for sharing.
I really liked the information about the regional faction events - Player cap spaces (PCPs). I hadn't heard too much about that previously, but it sounds like a pretty cool way of doing daily/repeatable content and have some interaction between exile and dominion. I wonder what the rewards will be like from them.

Stephen Frost: One of them, for example, is to kill two 40-person bosses at the same time. That's out in the open-world, and you have to kill them with that weapon.
Proof that the 2x 40 man bosses CAN be done with ANY NUMBER of people. I don't know why people all across all forums have been so oblivious to what was said earlier about it. When it was mentioned that people will have to take down 2x 40 man bosses which is an 80 man raid, it was clear to me that you could have 80 people to kill these 2 bosses. This just proves that you can actually have 2000 people if you really wanted to, since it is open world.
I also like all the comments below the article....people complaining about the review and the game, doubt they have ever played 1 minute of it LOL.

I'm wondering if that example means you have to get the killing blow on both of the bosses. If that were the case then I don't know if you want more than 80 people just for the fact of coordinating the killing blows.Soransis wrote:Stephen Frost: One of them, for example, is to kill two 40-person bosses at the same time. I have to say I like the idea of having to kill 2 40-man bosses but honestly if it means killing blows on those bosses that is a lot of work.

The killing blow wouldn't make sense at all. Especially since they already give credit for attacking a mob even if it isn't "tagged" as yours. You get credit for as much damage you did to the mob before it died, which tells me as long as you get 1 hit on the boss(s) you will get credit for your item.
Re: Good interview with Stephan Frost...
They actually have mentioned Killing blows on a raid boss being part of some of the imbuement quests for weapons so I was just hoping that the example he used wasn't referring to that.Soransis wrote: The killing blow wouldn't make sense at all. Re: Good interview with Stephan Frost...
Okay I missed that interview. That actually scares me, and makes me not like the idea of an imbuement that requires an 80 man raid to defeat 2 bosses. In all honesty, even 20 people in the same raid, attempting to coordinate who gets the last kill can be next to impossible. Raid bosses have so much health, and if people have DOTs...Making things that require 80+ people to defeat in order to imbue makes me not want the item. I think the idea of being required to kill the boss with that weapon can be a good ting, but not when it takes 80+ to defeat. Then you also have the griefer able to come out of no where, not part of the raid, run up to the boss and start DPSing at the last moment in order to steal that last hit, sorry if they make it this way I for one will protest.Oaire wrote: They actually have mentioned Killing blows on a raid boss being part of some of the imbuement quests for weapons so I was just hoping that the example he used wasn't referring to that.

Re: Good interview with Stephan Frost...
I hoping that the 2 raid boss imbuement quest doesn't involve the killing blow but it hasn't been worded well when they have talked about it. The 20 man stuff I think won't be too bad I think.

Re: Good interview with Stephan Frost...
What I have pieced together from multiple chats:
the 2 bosses killed are set as world bosses and not a killing blow, but there may be a down time connected between the two, Kinda like the bosses in EQ2 that had to be killed within 30 secs of each other.
The killing blow has not been directly discussed with the 2 bosses at same time So it makes sense that it would be a 20 or 40 man boss in a raid.
From all I have heard concerning both that's what I got out of it.
