Renown

This is partially for architects, but everyone can benefit from it.

Renown is from grouping. You can be questing in the open world, doing dungeons, adventures, basically any content done while grouped. It also has a variety of uses. There are cosmetics such as new mounts and mount add-ons, potions that give various buffs that are unlocked through a guilds influence system, and most importantly crafting bags.

For fun I tested this out at 15 and found just queuing for dungeons and leveling earns you enough renown to buy enough crafting bags to maintain your trade skills without farming mats. Architects can pick up one skill, I recommend mining to get the blue gems you'll need later on, and use the renown to supply the other. No need for alts to gather freeing up more time to level and experience everything.

One of my favorite things to do in MMOs is group leveling. Most games the only real reward was being in teamspeak together. But In Wildstar on top of the renown which has an actual good worthwhile use, the drops are so much better. Couple of weekends back a few of us grouped to killed one of the group quests and then just started questing and within 5 minutes of questing we had 5 or 6 green/blue drops.

It was crazy.

I was actually thinking about taking up 2 gathering tradeskills in order to provide the guild with needed mats. Since from what I have read so far there is nothing within the tradeskills that will be bind on pickup (or craft) I can live without having a crafting tradeskill, and having 2 gathering ones can get me money early on as people may not know renown can get them needed mats easy enough. I am more than willing to give my mats to guildies who might be interested in taking 2 crafting skills and using my 2 gathering skills to compliment theirs .

My hopes are that I can find a couple leveling buddies for at least one or more of my planned characters... If I haven't found a job before then, I may be playing during the day time a lot, so hopefully come that time there are folks playing during my play times that A-Like grouping for quests, B-Don't mind actually listening to the quest dialogues without rushing through the content, and C-Play as often as I plan to...

I'm even willing to have a set leveling group for one or more toons that I'll only play when the group/s play... And in off times, I can play with alts...

If anyone plans to put something like this together, then please let me know on the Dominion side...
