Vanity/companion pets

I have done some research on this subject and all I have really come up with is..."yes, they will "probably" have them, but not ready by launch." DOes anyone else have more concrete information on this?

I am a HUGE companion pet, mount and vanity item collector. I can see how the Mounts will be big for me in Wildstar, as well as all the obscure housing drops...but there is something about a cute little critter following me around on my adventures that makes me happy.

I never came across any in beta beyond a vegetable following you for a quest and a pumera kitten that follows you until you die/log after a quest.

They will probably add some eventually. We HAVE to have something cute following us around on our adventures!

All they've said is they plan to have them, but not at launch. Honestly I'd be surprised if they didn't. They already have several quests which mimic a vanity pet.
