The "Holy Cow I Don't Know What Faction Now" Thread

Well, I had been leaning pretty heavily towards playing Dominion because I didn't want to play a Human race, and Chua looked IMO to be the better looking race for Spellslinger. I went ahead and created an Aurin Spellslinger this morning just because I wanted to try some Exile questing. Turns out that the models in game for Aurin don't look as bad as the close up model they make you look at when creating a character. It took about 2 seconds in game for me to now be completely undecided on whether or not I want to be Exile or Dominion.

What to do.....

Fire away at why you think I should play Chua or Aurin upon release.

Comedic answer: Do you want to blow things up(Chua) or hug things(Aurin)?

Honest answer: As you can tell by the first line of this post and my signature I like the Chua. I've now leveled a Chua and a Mordesh(goes through the same zones as Aurin) to level 20+. From a questing standpoint I enjoyed the story lines of the Chua so much more. I enjoyed the humor that was laced through out their quests as well as their intro lines of dialog when clicking on them. Other than the Lopp there were no other race that I laughed almost each time I clicked on a Chua while questing. On the other side of the planet with the Aurin/Modesh storylines I felt like there was a disconnect between how the Aurin NPCs acted when clicking on them verses what was going on around them.

It's honestly a personal preference on which on you like more. But honestly I'd hate to see anyone leave the Dominion as its one less person I will be able to play along side.

Pssshhhhh!!! Blow things up? Oh please! The Chua won't have a chance!! Us Aurin like to hugs things, sure..but we won't hesitate to punt your little rats into the next galaxy!

Well, if you must know, the Dominion is the only faction that defeats raid bosses by ordering the Chua to do more science.

Here you present a large problem, both factions of the game are a ton of fun to play. Both guilds we are going to have in the game are full of some really awesome people. You don't know how much it pains me that we have to separate Grievance like this because I have had so much fun playing on the Exile faction with everyone.

Both sides have fun quest lines, each has its own sense of humor and unique story lines. There is no good way of telling you what faction to choose and any opinions we offer you will be jaded. Whatever your choice, rejoice in it and know that you are with a fine group of friends!

Outside of that the Standard Grievance answer is play what you like best. Chua Spellslingers are pretty awesome though.
