Guild Member Introductions
Post here and tell us a little about yourself. Some of us have been in the guild a long time and others a new. Plus alot of us are coming from different games to this one. So this could be the first time were getting to know each other.
Re: Guild Member Introductions
My name is Tom, and I am a 39 year old ex-navy SAR Swimmer turned computer engineer. I live is "beautiful" modesto , california and have a fiance and three children ranging in ages from 11 to 19.
I got into mmorpg's with the release of the original everquest. I played EQ very heavily until DAoC was released, at which time I jumped to that game. I played DAoC right up until WOW came out. Since the release of WOW, I have played or tested every major mmorpg release to date. Including, but not limited to, EQ2, matrix online, warhammer, swtor, gw2, neverwinter, city of heroes/villains.
I specialize in being a tank, as it is the role I enjoy the most.
I am currently dabbling in both WOW again, and neverwinter. I also have an active ff14:arr account, but that game is idle at the moment as I don't really have the desire to run WP/AK ad infinitum for philo stones.
As for wildstar, I originally discounted the game due to the press release coming out around the same time that NCSoft closed down city of heroes for good. I was bitter about the whole thing and refused to look at an NCSoft game. Once the dev speaks starting hitting hard and fast, combined with Gaffney and Frost's incredible passion and energy , caught my attention. I am looking forward to this game more than any game since DAoC.
I am more than likely going to play a Granok warrior or Engineer depending on tanking style. I prefer ranged DPS to melee dps, so if the engineer tanks well that may be the class for me.
Pics of me in the general thread!

Re: Guild Member Introductions
I've been on the MMO scene since Lineage 2 probably the most grind worthy game that every existed. I remember being in the same room in a full group for 6-7 hours just grinding mobs for exp. It was totally nuts.
Since then I have played almost everything that has come out EQ2, Rift, and Swtor have probably eaten up most of my time. Before I came to Grievance I was part of Tyranny on the Harbinger server in SWTOR a pretty hard core progression guild. Probably top 5 on our server. We kept up with guilds that would raid 6 hour sessions every night at launch raiding about 3 hours a night 3-4 days a week. Sadly we had a falling out due to some pretty bad decisions made by our fearless leader. Good news is I gained a lot of experience had a lot of fun, and found Grievance out of it.
I'm really looking forward to Wildstar it's going to be awesome!
I'm 33 married no kids but have 2 wonderful dogs. I'm a licensed broker (stocks) and my wife works fraud investigation. Proud home owner and loving life!

Re: Guild Member Introductions
Good time to do re-introductions. I'm Andrew, 32 work for the school district, but I'm about to go back to school and get a new degree for the exciting degree world of accounting. No kids yet, but we have way too many pets. Our dogs were in my first vine for that wildstar contest.
I've been doing MMO's since the original EQ and have played most at least for the free month. I usually prefer hardcore end game raiding, but with changes in life needs I've had to get a bit more casual with my gaming. I don't think the wife would tolerate 3-5 nights a week raiding for 4 hours, but I can usually sneak in 2 to 3 still. I usually game as Raille so you may or may not have seen me in various games. Currently my comp died recently and while it runs now it's not very game worthy at the moment. I have my last new part coming in the mail tomorrow so I will probably go back to casually popping into Grievance MMO's to kill time.
I've followed Wildstar for a while now and usually live in the subreddit while hoping to get my chance to test. I'm still undecided on faction or class, but I have some ideas at least of what I want to play.

Re: Guild Member Introductions
Nice to meet everyone!!!!
My names Todd (30 years old) I have been a police officer in orange county for approx. 7 years now and have just lateraled over to the sheriffs department (I was sick of patrol and the poopoo I have dealt with) working in the jail right now is a nice change of pace!!!
I have played many MMOS starting with star wars galaxies and many more after that. I currently live in Corona CA, dating but not married. If any ones in California after launch and you want to come game (or game now with beta), I have a pretty good dork cave in my garage! I sorta keep my dork side hidden at work because there is a select few that understand it. I love everything in the "nerd" culture, comics, games, movies books. me and my GF have made it a recent hobby to go to every comic/game convention in the surrounding area. i have looked through many guilds but have never really found a squared away, friendly guild such as grievance.
looking forward to seeing you guys in game! I do not think you will be disappointed with wildstar!

Wow, small world.todmcfly wrote: ... I have played many MMOS starting with star wars galaxies and many more after that. I currently live in Corona CA, dating but not married. If any ones in California ....
Here we go my name is Rich, 29, breed, born & raised in SoCal. I am married and have 1 child (1 yr plus these days)

currently hiding out in Orange County (near the LA County border). I was drug all but kicking and screaming into MMO's with SWG, I thought paying monthly for a game I already paid for was total bull manure. One friend gave me the game the other 6 mos of time, started a still ongoing love affair with MMO's.
I meet my wife thru WoW, we were married after negotiating the minefield that is US immigration, still kinda annoyed with that process.

One of my absolute favorite things to do is meet guildies IRL, if wings & something stronger than beer or wine sounds like a good evening to you, hit me with DM on twitter or steam (@korwulf) and we will figure it out.
Other stuff about me, I am a domestic water supply worker for a local muni, I'm one of tbe guys who makes sure your water not only comes out of the faucet at 3 am, but keeps it safe to drink. I maintain the wells & pumps, fix the pipes when they break, and do about anything I can to make myself a better operator and save my employer a few dimes.
One thing with being a water worker is I go on call from time to time, and occasionally have to leave with little or no warning.

Very small world your in my neck of the woods. I sense wildstar in the future with beers and wings haha. If you know the Orange County area I'm sort of on the opposite border of you. I'm right off 91(east) and green river, just east of Anaheim hills!!
