Wildstar - New Home
Wildstar - New Home
I'm an avid gamer, and have been doing so for some years back to EQ. Who else remembers taking camping shifts or receiving phone calls in the middle of the night because the mob your guild is camping spawned? Ah the good ole days. I saw your post on the wildstar central forums. I'm currently playing games with a small group of friends, but only one or two of us are interested in Wildstar, so I'm looking for a good home in which to enjoy the game when it launches. I must say, I was a little overwhelmed when I first found the site, you weren't kidding about being a community. A lot of guilds like to claim they're a community, but wow. Hope I'm in the right place for applying to be a part of Grievance in Wildstar.
About me... I'm 36 years old, live in Willamsburg, VA, and work for the Dept. of Defense. I'm happily married and have two wonderful children...err english bulldogs. Well they're spoiled enough and we treat them like children. Names are Tater and Dozer. As I mentioned above, I've been gaming since back in EQ. I won't list all of the games I've played/tried, but it's safe to say I've tried most mmo's as they've come out. The notable ones, i.e. spent the most time in, would be EQ, EQII, DAOC and WoW. EQII is where I would say I truly became a gamer. I was in a guild called Vagabonds on the Unrest server and remember getting several world firsts up through Spirits. That said, I've played the myriad over the years, from pushing for world/server firsts to now just kicking back and playing with friends. Which is what brought me here.
I'm looking for a place to call home in Wildstar, and Grievance appears like it may be a good fit. I'm not looking for the typical everyone logs in at 8 to raid then we all log out and don't speak again until the next raid. I'm looking for a group to make friends and enjoy playing with. I enjoy being a part of a community. My last group has slowly dwindled over the years, and so I'm looking to join a new group. I plan on playing Wildstar at launch, and will most likely be going Exile. That said, I've not firmly decided on one faction or the other, let alone which type of class. Note, I am an alt-aholic. I enter each game, saying this is going to be different! But I always end up with more than one character. So take this with a grain of salt, but I'm currently leaning towards an engineer tank. We'll see tomorrow!
Currently playing WoW. Here is my character http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/s ... ste/simple Will do a better job of explaining my experience in WoW better than me. I'm really just biding time though waiting for Wildstar to launch next spring. I still enjoy WoW, but am ready for a change.
I've babbled on enough for now. Thanks for reading this if you've made it through!

Welcome! I think you'll definitely find Grievance a good fit! Go play in Teamspeak. You'll see that people chat it up together even if they aren't in the same group, so you don't have to worry about your " raid or nothing" scenario.
