The best thing about WildStar is... ?

The best thing about WildStar is what?

This past weekend was probably the most fun I've had with a MMORPG in yonks, and I'm not even sure how to answer my own question! I'm keen to know what you think!

So many things! :)

Combat, housing, color pallete, PLUSHIES, Paths, Crafting, Group content that you actually die in, a lot. lol. What makes the game truly epic though, is the people I get to play with. We currently have 285 people invited into the Exile guild and climbing...every one of those people have been a joy to be around. Teamspeak is crazy at times though, but I am enjoying every minute of the overstim! At least we have awesome people to hang with while we wait for queues..

and hey, speaking of queues, has anyone waited much longer than an hour or so. I really don't think they are as bad as it seems, and hopefully in a week or so they will die down. :)

I keep saying the player base will die down in a bit, but now I am not so sure, I have seen nothing but positivity all around in the game...besides..."OMG I just waited forever to get in" lol

"Everything but the queue", eh? I can get behind that!

If I'm being honest, the queue didn't really bite me until I tried getting in yesterday evening. I believe that I was 1400-ish in line, with a 4-hour wait time. In the end, I just said 'to heck with it' and found something else to do. I am most definitely going to get in tonight, because I expect that tomorrow is going to be a total shmozzle!

The best thing for me is the community both in guild and out.

Edit for typos. Too many years of playing a fat fingered Orc

There are a lot of things I love about the game. I love how much of it is customizable. You can make a character very different from someone else's. Heck, I'm probably one in a minority of orange-haired Aurin running around. But building your own house and customizing how that looks too, on top of naming it? I'm a little disappointed that you can't name your mounts.

But I also like how this MMO is kind of cartoony, and gives off the appeal that its kind of kiddish in a sense but then smacks you in the face with bleeped out profanity and kind of elaborate ways in how people die such as in the trailers. Heck, in Thayd in a questing area I found a guy who had been crucified by the local thugs. Or a cow that was completely carved out and displayed. It kind of has a bit of a dark side to it that gives off the feel that adults would certainly appreciate in this game.

There is plenty of humor in the game, too. I mean, you scare the heck out of some chickens (or whatever they were) and they crap themselves literally.

Plushies are certainly fun to collect, I can get behind Nionya on that one. And as one who loves PvP, I love how they made this game so fun in PvP that you have fun even when you lose. Sometimes you really don't care that you lost because it was so much fun.
