Nice find.
It was an intriguing read especially the part about only 40ish people at 37. Surprising but not stunning, I have a few more numbers I am really curious about, such as the /played to 37 or just how big is the closed player pool vs the stress player pool.

Nice read. It's good that they wanna test the elder game content, with only one raid going at end game it better be nice! Granted I am sure there will be level 50 shiphand missions and all the dungeons while leveling come back at 50 so you can gear out for raids 20 and 40 man.

I bet his marketers are saying dude if we have 18 million hits on our page lets assume we can get that to 25-30 and that drops to a third of people that actually buy our game we just did 50x10 million if we keep 75% for at least one month we did 14.99x7.5 million, then guys on the board are going hells yeah we can pay back our investors and that gives us the opportunity to continue working on this game or securing more financing going forward.

Mean while all the DEV's are screaming no we want more time we have to get this right because we want that retention number to be higher and we need to look out further then a month.

Thus the internal battle of money on a product that has yet to make a dime. How much time financing can you secure before the pressure cooker goes boom. I think Wildstar did the right thing by delaying the game and implementing the new systems, but now they have reached a point that investors see these numbers shooting up and start salivating a little bit. Granted there numbers might aim for less then a third and 75% just throwing out some basic numbers I bet they go with a more conservative estimate, when presenting it.
