Otherwise I have no idea.
Is the curse client safe to use? I don't want to get hacked :(

i have used it for years and never heard of anyone getting hacked via the curse client. it is basically just a download manager that installs addons into the propoer locations for whatever games you have.

it also lets you know when there is an update to an addon that you have installed and has just one button updates to your mods ... i highly recommend it.

Since our gaming community is above such things, I don't see it being an issue... I'm sure none of our members will ever discriminate against anyone grouping based off a DPS meter or any sort of gear scoring... So this should be a non-issue...

Deadlock for sure. Just started using it the beta weekend before last and my play is way way better and I would never play without it.
Bijiplates? - breaks up health, shields etc on mobs love it.
Aura Mastery - Signals when various conditions set up by the player are met, can get a visual "alarm" that buffs have expired, debuffs are applied, crits have occurred to signal availability of on crit abilities like flameburst. I havent figured this one out yet, i can get it working but cant figure out scripts. I'm sure there will be plenty of guides in coming months though and it sounds like a must for raiding.

So far two musts are

JunkIt
SAS, (Switch Action Set) lets you switch your spell bars (Action Sets) on the fly. great for engineer to switch between DPS and Tank setup.
