Interesting ideas on the crafting. I think right now its going to be do what you like till we get going and the dust settles. Then take a look at what we have and what direction we want to go.
As for needing crafters for guild crafting we will need all the professions to build things ( signing away your crafting time for X hours).
The donations was talked about last meeting but I am sure we will go over it again. One concern might be getting the guild to a certain level to make sure we have room for everyone and a little to spare for new recruits. If things stay the same from beta the push might be to hit level 3 asap to get the member cap up to 60. This is not hard to do just something to keep in mind as we go along.

I am with you there as I will play all the classes as well for fun and crafting. Thinking taking two alts and just have them make the pick axe and jugs for my mains. Something to bring up for sure.

I have pretty much the same concerns, mostly on alts and crafting. From what I read so far, if we do what we want on crafting I'm under the impression that everyone would go merry potters

But if we can have alts in the clan or just switching in the alts for needed crafts down the road maybe it's not a big problem.

you got a point there, but unfortunately we don't have much room for alts in the guild I think (very limited member counts)
so for me it's going the other way around
Main = Guild crafter
ALT = My personal crafter.
Unless we can at least sit 2 characters per person in the guild??

From my experience on power leveling crafting during all of the alphas, it takes 3 toons to craft everything you would need to create ALL items of a chosen profession. Some of those items are from daily quest rewards just for being part of that crafting guild, some of them are personally crafted.
I would like to see a complimentary setup of crafting in order to get at least 1 guild character to maxing out gems. Gems will be the most useful item (imo) at end game. That & plaques.
