debating doing early access and ultimate role. I like knight, but grievance tends to be a tank heavy guild so not sure on the dps offspec I would run with.

Most likely Starting with Lightbinder, but my ultimate goal is either Witch or Alchemist... But from what I've read, that can take about a month or more to achieve with their weekly caps on stuff...

alchemist, witch, knight, monk will take about 3 weeks to hit. Do keep in mind that no "CE" before OBT, I would but they will be announced very shortly after launch. If they mirror what RU had (which I think they might given the access to knight and alchemist in CBT4) you may want to head toward witch.
Path Blocking Nodes For NEW CLASSES: Please do NOT rely on Find Path without fully checking the path. There are nodes which block the shortcuts that the Find Path tends to direct you to. These nodes require a gray gem (violet colored node) which wont be obtainable until late-game via Anomalies.
Alchemist Path: Head to the cluster just before Kinetic then veer off to the left. Knight Path to the right instead.
Monk Path: Head to the cluster just before Necro then veer off to the left. Witch Path to the right instead.

This was a big issue for the Russian OBT but has supposedly been fixed some time ago and should no long give you a path that has them until you have those gems. Will OBT toons be carried over to live or will there be a wipe before Live Early Access?

Once OBT starts there won't be any more wipes. It's a soft launch
