That engineer ability sounds pretty awesome.

From watching the live stream....engi was supposed to tank however could not hold of the warrior who ended up tanking the entire instance. An Op talks about it in another thread where engi goes dps stance warrior goes def. stance and they carry from there. That makes me think they might not be viable for tanking.

I noticed that also the warrior held all the Agro and the engineer looked like he almost never did

I forget who they said it was, but one of the crew was crying that he could "ONLY' tank with the engineer, and so after a ton of whining they let him be the engineer in the stream.

I think that guy just plain sucked at tanking, and should not be the baseline for the engineer's role. I guess we will see this week.

Yes, I'm really eager to see engineer tanking, but spent the livestream wondering if they misspoke on who was tanking that fight. I will have a pile of questions for the AMA again this week so I should be able to get some good info then.

I am sure this weekend they will elaborate on it during their live stream. I can't wait till open beta or if I get the winter key regardless...this game is starting to look really good.

I'm very much looking forward to this week's "reveal" as I'm leaning towards playing an engineer at launch. I've also always gravitated to pet classes, so this is seeming more and more to be a natural fit for me. Time will tell once I'm able to get my hands on it.

Yeah don't forget that you were watching a livestream focusing on the medic and just happened to hear some aside comments regarding the Engineer. Tomorrow and Saturday we'll really get into the Engineer and will probably have all this stuff cleared up for us.
