main healer could just mean that the typical play style of the class is healing (as in a "medic" type class mentioned above) not that it's necessarily better at typical group healing than other classes, or that it won't have a competitive DPS tree

I have a sneaking suspicion that the "main healer" reference was more of a "slip of the tongue," than an actual suggestion that the final healer will somehow be more capable than similarly geared, and properly spec'ed Esper or Spellslinger. We'll see though!
My final class will almost certainly depend on whether or not we get our damn Chuas, and what they in turn are capable of being.
I doubt it was a slip of the tongue. One might turn out to be better in raids and the other better in PVP. One might specialize in group heals and another in massive single person heals. Ala WOW and SWTOR.
I actually wouldn't mind this in the least.
