We are an "Accomplished Casual" raiding guild and we want everyone to enjoy raiding content. Removing people from raid due to performance is not fun. However, if you don't meet the requirements specified by the rules (dps, hps, surviviability, failing to mechanics), don't expect to get carried...you will be removed.Progression Bosses
Every Progression Boss will pose a problem for any guild. This is a team effort downing these bosses. Especially during progression, a handful of individuals can not carry the group to success. We are all in this together. There will be times where we will have to remove or add raiders. There will be times where we will have to remove raiders based on there knowledge of mechanics pertaining to your Class and Spec. There DPS/Dmg done, Healing ability's or Tanking ability's. Please don't take this to heart. We are all striving for the same result of defeating Heroic content. We might not get the Progression boss down for Days or Weeks, but we will get it down.
Attempts
Raiding requires a certain amount of commitment, from learning your class to learning the mechanics of fights (which also includes learning the differences between normal and heroic). We will address the situation as it arises to attempt at defeating the farm or progression bosses. We will always go for three or more attempts on any bosses with all raiders before removing, but please have personal responsibility to remove your self if you know your failing at a boss.
With that said, here are somethings you can do to be prepared for Antorus.
- Review your performance using Warcraft Logs. Warcraft Logs - Grievance - Proudmoore. If you are not parsing (low dps or low hps) well, understand what you are doing wrong and what you need to improve on. Consider getting more practice on your main's abilities by running mythic+ or re-running Heroic TOS on ALT night with your main. I would not recommend LFR if you are having issues with mechanics because LFR does not provide all the mechanics in Normal/Heroic. Also, reach out to other raiders for help with improving your performance.
- Study up on fights. There are already a handful of video guides for Antorus raid bosses that you should become familiar with. I have heard in the past that watching a video is not the same as doing the fight..tThis is 100% true. However, the video details abilities and strategies that you should be aware of so when we are discussing strategy during progression, you know what that is. As the raid gets closer to opening, there will be more guild forum posts with many guides for the raid.
- Keep your "raid helper" addons up to date. All of us should be using DBM or BigWigs and there will be updates (sometimes multiple) on launch day so keep them up to date. Also, WeakAuras will come out as well during this time to provide other helpful indicators for raid. There will be guild forum posts to these WeakAuras as well. I personally use DBM and some ToS Weak Auras that are still invaluable for dealing with ToS mechanics.
