The New Raid Progression
Goes in affect Tuesday May 19th - 2015
Well as we all know we have been doing great with our raiding. We have downed Blackhand on normal BRF and we are doing great in Heroic BRF. We are still downing new bosses but its starting to put a toll on some aspects of our raiding progression.
Week after week people are getting new gear, but the upsetting truth is that some DPSers or Healers are not improving their output. We have given people help as well as pointed them in the right direction of reading guides for their Class/spec. We have always stated that if you are having troubles, to ask questions.
In order for us to progress further into our heroic raids (Kromag - Blast Furnace - Iron Maidens - BlackHand) as well as Normal (BlackHand), we need to up our volume of DPS and HPS as well as our tanking that is being done.
We will require you to have competitive numbers in dps and healing. As a tank, we expect you to be able to hold threat, sustain damage, mitigate properly and not drain the healers.
Heroic BRF (Kromag, Iron Maidens, Blast Furnace and Blackhand)
DPS - 25k+ (Roughly 8-9 Million Damage Done)
HPS - 25k+
(Still leaves 6/10 Bosses we can get all other raiders into so they can acquire gear to come to the progression fights)
Normal BRF (Black Hand)
DPS - 20k+ (Roughly 6-7 Million Damage Done)
HPS - 20k+
(Still leaves 9/10 Bosses we can get all other raiders into so they can acquire gear to come to the progression fights)
If your numbers are far behind the rest of the group and you are a factor in the failure of an encounter, you will be asked to leave the group unfortunately. The Raid Leaders will only take our members who have the best overall mix of numbers, skill, attendance, raid awareness and good humour.
Raid performance will be constantly under review as the current expansion develops to ensure that our teams are successful in their endeavors, so do not be surprised or offended if the Raid Lead talks to you about how you are doing, they will be looking to help, not penalize, if changes are needed.
We are not intending to upset anyone with this news, but it is something that needs to be done to move forward with our progression fights. Please as always ask questions if you are unsure on your class/spec. We will always try and help you out as much as we can, but you also need to come to the realization that it hurts our raid group if you are not helping yourself out.
So for the non-progression fights, we still ask that all raiders come and join us. We want to help out by getting you all gear so you can get up there and do progression with us as well. Please do not get upset when asked to leave the raid, just understand we are a TEAM here and some times as a team we need to lower our raid numbers in order to move forward.
As always please come and ask questions to any of the officers.

The New Raid Progression Numbers
Re: The New Raid Progression Numbers
I think this is just an unfortunate, but needed change. The flex system is truly interesting. You can see how large of a HP bump adding a new member to a fight adds. At some point, if numbers are low, the high HP bump does not justify the slightly lower DPS/HPS/(higher) Heals Needed per second.
This is definitely prevalent on adding fresh out of Dungeons/LFR members to progression fights who might be out of their element not just on gear, but also on experience in the raid as a whole by being added right into the fire of those more difficult fights.
It unfortunately is just the way it is. What I am GLAD to hear is that this is only being implemented ON PROGRESSION FIGHTS ONLY! So that the newer members can still participate up to that point so they get practice in, gain experience in the raid as a whole, gain the needed gear, and learn better output with the help of our kick-ass team so that they CAN get to be with us in our Progression fights.

Re: The New Raid Progression Numbers
People are still able to get in on 9 of 10 normals as well as 6 of 10 heroics.
So out of normals ppl are able to get a 4 pc bonus as well chance to get 2 extra tier pcs of the upgraded heroic versions.
If you need help please ask.
