I'm going to pick up the Founder pack so I can play this weekend and see how it is. Can anyone point me in the direction of information about "quality of life" aspects of the game such as housing and crafting etc.

Excellent! =) and let me scare up some links for you. there are a bunch of videos on all this... will post in a few mins. =) also check out the first post in the forums. Dulfy has some guides on the crafting and gearing.

That guild zone is a super cool idea. I wonder how easy/hard it would be to manage. I wonder if you are going to need an officer position just to manage it. Neat.

As long as we have active guild members doing their daily stuff and contributing resources... it's about an 1/2 hour to 1hr daily micro management (I've been handling it during the CBT's). Of course if no one's contributing resources the work is a lot less
