Good post Eldaran,

For me it started with Ultima Online played for almost five years till I just felt I needed a change of pace. It was EQ for two years or so then WoW till burning crusade. After that I have never steadly played an MMO for long. Doesn't mean there wasn't good ones or ones I don't occasionally jump back into (EVE online, The secret world, TERA). But just can't seem to find that magic again.

I generally don't get excited for games anymore as I feel a steady enthusiasm level means I am either not to disappointed or pleasantly surprised at the out come. Perhaps that is why I don't stick with games long who knows. I know I got issues looking at my steam library where 90% of the games are at ten hours or not played at all. I can' say they are bad games but just didn't do something for me.

The social aspect is something that I really do enjoy. I no longer live where I was born and my co workers are my main social group now (outside of gaming). So I guess that meeting someone from far off while sitting in my living room is a big draw. Bah my fingers are hurting! Either way be interesting to see how things go in Blade and Soul.

Thanks for posting! I sometimes feel like im the only one who does this because I have friends who have been playing WoW for 10 years... I feel like UO and EQ were just so immersive that they meant something different to us.

I am looking forward to a lot of fun times in Blade and Soul and it has been really plain and simple fun to play. Very excited to have a good group of people to play with as well as it's been a while since I've done an MMO launch.

P.S. Also sorry about the other night on TS, turned into an impromptu interview. I didn't get to say anything to you lol.
