I finally unlocked Knight this morning! I kept playing solely the Paladin once I reach master to stockpile Sparks of Evolution and ended up having a little over 5,000 sparks to immediately pool into the Knight's Class Atlas. It looks like next week will provide me with the rest of the Sparks to master Knight. Now that I have it unlocked, I'm unsure of where I want to go on the Upper Atlas. I'm unsure if I want to head to Kinetic or another DPS class, since I'm only invested in tank classes, or if I should go for filling out some of the cheaper node circles near the three base classes.

Any suggestions?

If you're truly only dedicated to tank, I would focus on proficiency while working your way towards some of the tanking symbols like Defender's Creed, Defensive Reflex, and the rest. You'll probably want to unlock a class or two along the way to dump Sparks of Evolution in to for the mastery and extra symbol slots.

Thanks for the suggestions and guide. I didn't think about the Symbol hunting too much, but it will make a difference. I'll also give the guide a read.

I'm taking a similar path - my end game goal is Knight, I'm just doing it in the reverse order. Leveling through, grabbing symbols, and mastering the classes on my way there.

I went through and read the guide thoroughly and now have a pretty solid idea of where I want to go in the Upper Atlas and the talents I want to go for. Thanks!

That guide states that tactical defense only works against players. It does not state that anywhere in game that I can find. I wish I knew how to test this....

I've been playing Knight, two abilities away from complete unlock.

PvP with Knight is lots of fun- Whiplash is the best ability in the game IMO.

The road to it is pretty long, but I think its worth it. The good thing is, its not better than the Paladin in every situation so there's a reason to switch back and forth depending upon the boss.
