Hey all. I am new to Grievance-- and mmos for those hardcore veterans. I first played vanilla WOW and then graduated into the more innovative evolution. AoC and TSW were faves, as well as SWTOR and more recently FFXIV, Archeage, ESO and now Skyforge. While mmos are not the only genre I play, I enjoy playing with friends and usually do the deeps with off-heals. The other day, my current guild The Velvet Claw realized it was too small to get the good stuff in Skyforge so our leader Yokai and his teammate Nite joined you guys after lots of positive feedback and stories about your culture and integrity. So... I and my fellow guildie Spock are following close behind so we can be..... Gods. Hope to meet you all soon.

Sure! I am currently working as a crisis stabilization and persistent mental illness counselor in Asheville NC. My job is stressful and often overwhelming, so I enjoy going into video game locations to blow off steam and get away from the often intense strain and gritty reality of my days... so I enjoy going into the gritty reality of some games too, go figure. I like to play rpgs more than anything. I love to read, and watch movies and TV so a game with a story is really where I am found most often. For that reason, AoC, SWTOR, ESO and TSW were real favorites. Skyforge is cool, but I am mostly on lately when there is someone to play with. Once I got witch class I found the grind to be less motivating than I am by compelling plot. So, I'm a big Bethesda fan, Bioware, and lately turn-based jrpgs and really enjoying The Pillars of Eternity by Obsidian.

Other pursuits of mine are outdoorsy; I love camping and hiking, swimming, and exploring. I have a great life, really. So pleased to be fulfilled helping others for a living and virtually immune to drama and the 'borderline enigma,' as I say at work. I am happily married with no kids. I just got back from the beach where we had a blast. I found I am one of the few mortals left with the will to swim in the ocean.... really, in Florida NO ONE was swimming in the ocean except me and a few intrepid souls.

I am 47 and from out west (born in SF California, grew up in Arizona and Colorado), and I have lived in NYC and Europe during my adventurer days years ago. I got my start with video games after school in Denver ducking away from the gang kids hustling for my quarters into arcades and wrecking Donkey Kong until they got bored and left.

As a friend recently said: I do me better than anyone he knows.
