Beta Server Update Notes - 22 Sept 2015



Ôù¥New Launcher

Ôù¥WildStarÔÇÖs launcher has been updated with a new look and new functionality! You can now log into your account directly from the launcher without having to start the game first.



Ôù¥General

Ôù¥Corrected Orbitron Electricity globe.


Ôù¥Trees and such will cast detailed shadows again.


Ôù¥Upped the texture quality we display on 32 bit machines.


Ôù¥Fixed a crash that could occur when exiting a game.


Ôù¥Character and NPC textures are improved.


Ôù¥Dye maps are much smoother, in particular on female Mechari faces.


Ôù¥Adjusted kneepads to better fit cluster on Hazmat suits.


Ôù¥Certain textures have improved quality settings.

Ôù¥The two Master Crafstman NPCs have been given proper names. Exiles: a Mordesh named Master Parastis. Dominion: a Chua named Master Garot.


Ôù¥Bev-O-Loot now has additional spawns near the primary runecrafting station in Thayd and Illium.


Ôù¥Sprinting while out of combat can once again by triggered by holding shift when the player is in Run mode. This will not consume endurance. Your movement mode (Walk, Run, Sprint) for out of combat movement will now also be saved between sessions on a per character basis.


Ôù¥Fixed a bug that could cause the account inventory pending list to duplicate entries when switching characters between realms.


Ôù¥Increased Inventory/Bags tutorial will now fire and view properly in the tutorials window.


Ôù¥Player's mounts are now shown at higher detail than other mounts when using texture settings lower than ultra.


Ôù¥Improved the take mail attachment logic to make better use of item stacking rules and inventory space.


Ôù¥Fixed a bug that sometimes caused certain Skyboxes to display incorrectly.


Ôù¥Blended terrain rendering errors around certain dry riverbeds and campfires have been fixed.


Ôù¥Fixed a bug where you could still be targeting a player who had left the world.


Ôù¥While on the mount, the Level Up animation will no longer play.

Ôù¥A player's level will now be taken into account when dying armor and costumes. In addition, the pricing for dyes has been standardized across the board; wherein the rarity/quality of a dye is consistent when calculating a price.


Ôù¥The holo-wardrobe account item has had its text and icons adjusted to make it clear what it is you've just purchased.


Ôù¥The holo-wardrobe unlock achievements have been re-worded to reflect that pieces must be unlocked in the Holo-wardrobe rather than simply equipping the item.


Ôù¥Dye confirmation prompt will now close when the Holo-wardrobe is closed.

Ôù¥Replaced some old worn out Mounts, with some fresh jumpier ones.

Ôù¥Decimate

Ôù¥Now grants a Defense instead of applying a Weaken. Defense: Decreases damage taken by 8% + 1%*tier for 10s.


Ôù¥T8: Reduced the Support Power buff to 20%, down from 25%.



Ôù¥Frenzy

Ôù¥T4: tooltip now indicates that it reduces all Mitigation instead of just Physical Mitigation.



Ôù¥Impale

Ôù¥Will cast correctly when the player regenerates enough suit power to cast again while holding to continue casting.


Ôù¥T4: Reduced the Armor Pierce to 25%, down from 50%. This bonus no longer requires stealth or behind target.


Ôù¥Reduced normal damage to 30.04*lvl + 69% AP + 3.8% AP*tier, down from 33.3*lvl + 76.5% AP + 3.8% AP*tier. Reduced stealth/behind damage to 33.044*lvl + 75.9% AP + 4.2% AP*tier, down from 39.7*lvl + 84.5% AP + 4.1% AP*tier.

Ôù¥Base: Increased damage to 18.89*lvl + 43.41% SP + 3.79% SP*tier, up from 17.6*lvl + 40.44% SP + 0.91% SP*tier. Expose now reduces targets' Deflect by 5% for 10s at all tiers. Does not stack with other class Deflect debuffs.


Ôù¥T4: now increases Support Power by 15% for 3.5s. Stacks 2 times.

Ôù¥T8: Fixed an issue where some Support Ability cooldowns were not being properly reduced.

Ôù¥T4: No longer reduces Interrupt Armor duration.

Ôù¥Increased damage to 6.83*lvl + 21.55% AP + 5.05% AP*tier, up from 5.5*lvl + 17.39% AP + 2.54% AP*tier. Now builds 150 Kinetic Energy. Expose now lasts 10s at all tiers.


Ôù¥Reduced the mitigation debuff to 6%, down from 8%.

Ôù¥Reduced armor pierce to 2.5% per stack and 3 stacks, down from 4% per stack and 3 stacks.

Ôù¥Kinetic Buffer

Ôù¥Reduced damage reduction buff to 6%, down from 9%.

Ôù¥Increased damage bonuses to 6% / 8%, up from 5% / 7%.



Ôù¥Overwhelming Presence

Ôù¥Reduced vigor to 2.5% per stack and 3 stacks, down from 2% per stack and 4 stacks.

Ôù¥Legacy and Leadership will now grant a 10% XP buff.


Ôù¥Fixed a bug with Water Pell showing double.


Ôù¥Additional Rapid Transport nodes have been added to Thayd and Illium; Arborian Gardens and the Enigma Chamber respectively.


Ôù¥Raid and Dungeon boss and miniboss armor and deflect values have been adjusted (in general, they went up slightly).


Ôù¥Added a tutorial explaining Moments of Opportunity within the Arkships.


Ôù¥Reputation gained from kills and quests should now properly receive bonuses where applicable.


Ôù¥Moved the Innate abilities tutorial earlier in the Arkship.

Ôù¥Selecting an achievement from the Recent Achievements will now properly scroll the achievement list to show the selected achievement.

Ôù¥The Eradicator Warbot and Psi-Armored Jaillyn Sweetspur have been made a bit less deadly.


Ôù¥DE/FR users should now see all of Mondo Zax's lines translated.



Ôù¥Blighthaven

Ôù¥The Final Attack Phase has been removed from the "Guardians of the Grove" public event in Blighthaven. The event is now won only by succeeding in the Final Defend Phase.


Ôù¥Crazy Gideon went insane and is nowhere to be found. Simulations Nurton and Kaffee have happily taken his spot at the Nursery Trading Post.



Ôù¥Challenges

Ôù¥The Challenge Reward tutorial now appropriately reflects the new Challenge Reward track UI.


Ôù¥Item rewards have been updated in the Challenge tracks. Many of the decor items previously available from Challenges have been temporarily moved to reputation vendors for their respective zones. Pets that were previously available from Challenges have been temporarily moved to the pet vendor in your capital city.



Ôù¥Discoveries

Ôù¥Discovery cave events with kill objectives will now specify the proper number of kills.



Ôù¥Everstar Grove

Ôù¥The bleeding effect form the Thrasher Ferns will no longer interrupt players using the Bramble Traps for the quest "Nature's Uprising".



Ôù¥Exile Arkship

Ôù¥Adjusted the teleport location for the Greenhouse to avoid players getting stuck in props.



Ôù¥Farside

Ôù¥Lowered the objective amounts needed for the quest 'Securing Base Camp'.



Ôù¥Galeras

Ôù¥The quest "Defense Breach" in Galeras now correctly shows up in the Tracker when players are inside Tempest Refuge.


Ôù¥The quest 'Set them Free' has been streamlined, and text should no longer pile up and spam.



Ôù¥Grimvault

Ôù¥Drifter, in Ghostwind Hollow, now has telegraph attacks that are appropriate to its size.


Ôù¥Exile reputation vendors should now appropriately display their "Popular" tab.



Ôù¥Illium

Ôù¥Toric's path through Illium has been adjusted.


Ôù¥"Put Kezrek in Check" now correctly refers to /flexing at him in his War Room.



Ôù¥Legendary and Elite Champions

Ôù¥Staunch Defense has an updated FX when cast. This will fix an issue where the previous FX didn't scale properly with large creatures.


Ôù¥Fixed an issue with the splitting image combat package where the clones would remain invisible when they spawned in if they had a CC effect at the same time.


Ôù¥Creatures who cast Clenching Fear will no longer have a buff icon placed on them.


Ôù¥Champions call will now only benefit creatures inside the cluster of the caster.



Ôù¥Levian Bay

Ôù¥Added more location links to 'The Elder Cube' episode.

Ôù¥Various quests that lead to new hubs will now properly display in the quest tracker when players are far from the quest objective but have Sort by Distance set to True in their tracker settings.

Ôù¥The disabled circuitry now correctly flashes red during the quest "Danger! High Voltage".

Ôù¥Merchant Vendor Ketan removed from Wigwalli Village.

Ôù¥The Icebox Mk. 2 can now see through stealth. This was previously causing a reset issue.


Ôù¥(Veteran) Fixed an issue that was causing the Scrapyard Cleanup challenge to fail incorrectly.


Ôù¥Fixed an issue that was occasionally preventing Icebox Mk. 2 from resetting correctly.

Ôù¥(Normal) Will now trigger his final phase at 12% health instead of 15%.




Ôù¥Sanctuary of the Swordmaiden

Ôù¥Totems of Flame no longer damage NPCs.

Ôù¥Completion quests for The Gauntlet and Outpost M-13 now have proper rewards.

Ôù¥Fixed Dueling to no longer put Players into PVP cooldown.

Ôù¥Completing challenges associated with bosses will provide additional rolls on their loot table, rather than class tokens. Ohmna will now also drop items from a concentrated accessory table.


Ôù¥Drop rates for Major Class Focus have been increased. Completing a boss challenge will now guarantee a Major Class Focus.




Ôù¥Tutorials

Ôù¥The vacuum loot tutorial now points at the proper icon.


Ôù¥Fixed the "Interactive Objects" tutorial so it displays the correct cogwheel.


Ôù¥Players now receive a new tutorial explaining path abilities when they hit path level 4.



Ôù¥World Bosses

Ôù¥Kill contracts will now properly grant completion to players that are dead when the event completes.



Ôù¥Paths

Ôù¥Path tutorials, when firing, will now point at the objective tracker.


Ôù¥Scientist

Ôù¥Fixed Scientist Scanbots to not always overlap with other flying followers when standing still.




Ôù¥Economy

Ôù¥Items which no longer have a valid inventory or bank slot will be mailed to the character.


Ôù¥Auction House/Commodity Exchange

Ôù¥The maximum counts for commodity orders are now separate for buy and sell orders.



Ôù¥In-Game Store

Ôù¥Road Render (Pink) now displays in the store.


Ôù¥'Withered Skulltree' now displays correctly in the store. Updated icons for the items in the 'Haunted Trees' pack to add variety.


Ôù¥Corrected a display issue in the store which could occur with existing characters who have progressed at least one tier through the Cosmic Rewards system but have not yet made any progress during the current session.


Ôù¥Fixed zBoard 88 hoverboard flair in the preview window.

Ôù¥Now regenerates 1 Suit Power every 1s, changed from increasing Max Suit power by 10.

Ôù¥Moved the Defense Grid bonus to T8, and reduced the Snare to 25%.


Ôù¥Fixed an issue that was causing the Snare to stack.

Ôù¥(4) Power special Empower is granted upon generating a Psi Point, and its duration is reduced to 3s, from 8s.


Ôù¥(8) Power special damage increased to 8.38 Item Budget and 8.38% Assault Power, from 4.69 and 4.69%.

Ôù¥(4) Power special damage rebalanced to 2.5% Assault Power and 2.5 Item Budget, from 3.125% and 1.87.

Ôù¥An issue has been fixed with the Fame-In-A-Can flasks that was preventing players from earning the increased Reputation Gain in some situations.


Ôù¥Fixed an issue in which the Adventus Medishot: Shield Restore could multi-hit and deal critical healing. Updated the description in the combat log to be consistent with other Medishot consumables.


Ôù¥The flask of advancements will now correctly increase the XP earned in PvP combat.
