Hmm, I need to check some of these out. I currently have no add-ons.

Edit: Glad Cheatsimon is still out there, that will make life a bit easier.

Id have to admit that im not a fan of addons. Im sure that most of them do help and im all for making things easy but im going to attempt to get to 50 without them for now.

I did however check some of the addons in the list. Some of them are discontinued or have been said to be quite buggy in some areas. I havent tried any myself so my opinion of them is not valid at the moment.

I do appreciate the time you took to list them. Im sure if wildstar captures my heart like swtor did....and i become a raider or perhaps something more than just a pretty face in the ranks then i shall see if addons are needed.

Cheers and thank you again for posting this helpful info.

So far the only ones I am using are

CheatSimon - Because I suck at trying to keep up with those memory games

Tap That - To help with those pesky "F" key things

Perspective - I like how it helps to find farming nodes and trees. I'm keeping most of it turned off and trying to find things like journals and Datacubes on my own...but when it reaches a point where I just can't find them...then it will get turned on  And it really helps with finding quests and NPCs

I downloaded Runemaster, but have yet to figure out how that one works :?

I might eventually try Forge UI....though sometimes I don't like the way it messes with certain portions of the basic UI. Most times I will try a UI just to change it back to the regular one lol

Perspective wasnt what i thought it was. After reading comments about this addon, it was described as only being a node finder. I didnt see anything about it locating quest in an entire area.

Can you find lost quests and such with it Shiera?

If you cant then i wont mess with it.....if yes then this would be the only addon im interested in.

Here is what I see when I use Perspective:

Image

The Green line leads to a quest giver and even places a larger "!" at the end of the line.

Image

The Orange circles are where I have quest turn in's

The yellow line goes to farming nodes, and the Orange lines go to quest mobs or NPCs that I have to kill or talk to.

What I really like is how customizable it is, I can enable or disable which ever ones I do or do not want to see :)

You can change those solid lines into dots too, makes it look a little better.
