This was a good time. I haven't had as much fun at the launch of a game since COH. The entertaining conversations on TS was a blast. So many people! The whole build up from 2 to 3 AM was great. Everyone was so excited, you could feel it! Being on with fellow Grievance members while reading Carbine and individual dev tweets was just really cool. Having to bump up the member allowance of TS due to this one game, also really cool.
Then 3 hit and the epic Chupacabra boss wiped all the Exile and Dominion raiders of Nexus alike. The jokes surrounding all of that were great. It's the Dominion's fault, no it's Nionya's fault ('cause she left to get more coffee), no it's the "hamster" running in the wheel...wait it has 6 legs...wait, that's no hamster! Then the twitter jokes by Carbine as well as other gaming sites. The community trying to make light of a frustrating situation was fantastic. Of course "the Gaffer" himself stepped up and put down the Chupacabra DDOS boss and all was well.
People got to business and formed groups and began their quest to dig into Nexus. I, on the other hand, crash-landed into the Northern Wilds, and that's where I had to call it a "night" at 5 AM Eastern. Just the comfort that I exist in the world and there's no worry of going anywhere, that's nice. No more beta times, just enjoy the game. Yay! Thank you all for making the launch a great experience, especially the officers who made sure things went well for Grievance. Hope everyone is having a blast and I can't wait to get in there with you!
*edit* Oh and I got my medical degree prior to leaving the ship, I'm now DrNyogtha.
