Stepping back from Wildstar

Hey guys,
Let me start by saying this isn't a post about stepping back from Grievance (you guys are absolutely awesome!) but after a lot of thinking I have decided ultimately to take a step back from Wildstar as a game that I want to play. In short my reasons are as follows:
1. I am a Verizon FiOS customer out of NY, and even the "fix" that involves me having to go in and alter my host file on the PC isn't working anymore for me to even be able to patch. If I can't patch / download the game (and there are MANY others out there who can't either) then honestly that is pretty much 3 strikes on its own.
2. The way that Carbine handled the name reservation thing absolutely disgusted me. It was poorly designed, had no thought put into it as to the possibility of long standing guilds and communities (like Grievance) losing their guild name, and the "response" from the devs was basically a middle finger considering it was basically "oh you lost your name that your community has used for the past 10+ years? Have some boom boxes cya!"
3. I like hardcore raiding, I really do and that is a lot of what drew me into the whole Wildstar thing. HOWEVER, what I find royally unprofessional is when you have the devs themselves using terms like "filthy casual" in their videos. I don't care if they're joking or not, the "casuals" are who pay the bills in a MMO since they make up 95% of the playerbase normally. Like I said, its one thing for players to have that sort of contempt towards one another, its something completely different when a dev does.
As for me I am gonna explore a couple of different games that I see Grievance is involved with and hook up with one of those chapters I think (I'm taking a hard look at ArcheAge right now). As I said I absolutely LOVE this community, everyone here is awesome and I love what you all stand for. I just can't bring myself to support a game that has the issues that I listed.
Good luck in Wildstar, I know you all will do fantastic!!
