Medic Livestream also premiers Engi

Post by korwulf » Sat Dec 07, 2013 3:42 pm

Pretty much that, if you're eyes are good you can watch the Engineer tank in Stormtalon including a crazy looking Stormtalon himself fight.

There is also Engineer pvp as well as Stalker pvp and dungeon play.

Overall it was a very useful vid, answers a ton of range and build questions about the Medic.

Here's the livestream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1u0LvWyFd4
A few things I noticed...
Medic will be a tricky class to play, you're really going to need to be on top of things.
"Urgency" I think it's called, is awesome! If you use it and there's no target, you rush ahead for 20 feet.
If there's a target in the way, you'll rush to it and AOE damage it.
If there's a friendly in the way, you'll rush to them and AOE heal!
Love that!
The Engineer gun and abilities look awesome, just from what you can see in the 2 on 2 PVP part of the video.

Oh, another thing, they said due to the "technology damage" and buffs that the Medic does that it teams well with the Engineer who also does a lot of technology damage.

I was a little concerned in the solo PVP setting....no self heals? Like several points where he should have healed himself and he would have won everytime. In the group setting he had like one self heal based of the orb thing however maybe it was just the build?

Yeah, I'll reserve judgement until I get to really dig into it. Could easily just be the builds that he picked, like you said.

I don't think any heals were picked out in the build, but it might not be an effective strategy for all I know.

the engi wasn't tanking stormtalon. I know they said that in the video, but if you watch closely at the start, the warrior goes into tank stance (the little shield above his head) and the engi goes into dps stance (the little sword above his head).

The warrior also had aggro the whole way through. I was disappointed because I really wanted to see the engi tank.

It is the biggest question. I am guessing from both the blunderbuss looking gun, and the look of the telegraphs that the engineer is a fairly close range character, much like the medic. This means they will tank similarly to the trooper/bounty hunter from swtor?

I didn't notice that, my child was being particularly demanding at the time. Hopefully I can find time to watch the whole thing another time or two, and glean some more info
