I am Nyogtha, I am Mordesh

Aliah, when I rest at night, I still see your face and the reflection of horror in your eyes. I remember being so angry with you, that you refused Lazarin's Everlife. Why? Why wouldn't you want to be immortal with me, to live eternally in our love together? I was furious and confused. You somehow knew something would be wrong. I thought you were being an insolent child. You had it in your head that the elixir was somehow "off", that Victor was wrong. It bordered on a sort of blasphemy. How could Victor be wrong? It was simply impossible! You were so right.

I remember when the change took me. So painful, such anguish. You tried so hard to smile to lift my spirits when I would go through my convulsions, or I would shriek at my own reflection. Our love was to last forever, elixir or not, but how does one love a monster, a creature that not only ceased to resemble the man you loved, but represents a living death. How could you look upon me every day and feel love for me, for what I've become? It was a blessing that you left with the few who escaped this hell. You were taken away with them for protection before you had to make the decision to leave me. It was...is...a blessing. Aliah, I still see your face, the face of beauty that still showed love for me. I long to see you again once we find a real cure. Damn those that stand in our way.

I love the picture. I wish I knew who the artist is. I found it on some article talking about cyborgs. They didn't credit the artist.

I want to further develop the back story for the character up to the day of release. I haven't done that with a character since COH. It makes the game even more interesting and fun if you're invested in the character. The trick will be peppering the story with the humor that is in the game.

Aliah, I decided to record my life away from home. It helps to think of you and when we are reunited I can show you just how much you were on my mind. I have not set foot on Nexus yet, we are still sending out scouts to see where we are going to stake our claim. I have heard we may be out here for months. An interesting development however, we found that the Dominion also has interest in the planet and are scouting it themselves. One of our scouting parties returned with a barely-living Chua. Ferocious and angry, but quite exhausted. I have been tasked to do further..."investigation"...on him...her...hmmm...not sure yet. It spits foam at me as it angrily chatters in its native language. It does not seem to like the implements I have displayed. I have assured it that I will cause it no pain, but that I need to see its brain and these are simply my tools with which to do so. I need to get to the core of this creature. Why does it suppress its apparent intelligence with such extreme violent tendencies? I think I can fix this creature, to be valuable. We shall see. Perhaps it can answer some questions as to what the Dominion is up to. Aliah, I love and miss you. I look forward to recording more for you soon.

Aliah, I have made progress! My little friend, "Pucky" has really helped us to understand the Chua. I named it Pucky because that is the only noise it makes. I was experimenting on the creature when "Rockbiter" (a Granok friend of mine) came in to see what I was up to. I touched the part of the Chua's brain that made it sneeze. This caused Rockbiter to laugh uncontrollably and a large ash from his cigar landed on the creature's brain. It happened to scorch the language center of the brain so now it simply says "pucky" for everything. How are you today? "Pucky!" Are you thirsty? "Pucky". Oh well. Anyway, the point is I have subverted its violent nature. Pucky has retained a lot of its intelligence and is happily assisting me in many experiments and investigative procedures. I still cannot tell if Pucky is male or female as much of its anatomy is confounding. I can tell you that Pucky really enjoys sweets and ear rubs. Perhaps you will meet it some day. I miss you.

Aliah, I hope you are well! So Rockbiter had asked me to make a "Pucky" for him. I had assumed that he wanted a Chua friend that was non-violent. It turns out that he also wanted it to be brain damaged so that it would speak as Pucky does. Rockbiter brought in his own Chua that he had come across while on a routine scouting mission. The Chuas are not very sneaky, they are so overtly excited over violence that they often jump the gun, so-to-speak, and give away their position. I performed the brain surgery to subvert its violent nature and as with the last time, we burned the language center with ash from Rockbiter's cigar. He insisted on using his cigar because he wanted to be sure of the same result. Well something went wrong. Although extremely passive, the Chua does not speak. Not only does it not speak, but it slaps itself and points to the sky any time you ask it a question or assign it a task. I felt horrible of course, I am not a monster, (well...not mentally) and offered to rectify the situation but Rockbiter absolutely refused. He was so hysterical with laughter. He just constantly asked the Chua different questions and asked it to do things, watching it repeatedly slap itself and point up. Then he would lead it on by asking "Are you awake?...where's the sky?" (slap, point). Even Pucky chuckled. This went on for an hour. I learned that day that it is probably best to never be on Rockbiter's bad side. Rockbiter named it "Slapdance". I offered no response. On another note, Victor is convinced that this planet Nexus holds the key to our cure. I suppose we shall see. I love and miss you Aliah!
