Ah ok. I've pretty much thrown in the towel on this as soon as I saw the Carbine Dev tell us its Verizon's problem and we have to go to them ourselves.

Not for nothing, but their response is more than I've ever seen from a dev before in regards to these types of problems. Ny also provided an easy work around by using a vpn to connect. This happened all the time in WoW, and it would eventually get worked out.

Just a FYI, I was contacted by support for my ticket. They asked for my dxdiag as well as some kind of log that "Hi Jack This" provides. I just replied with those reports. I'll let you know what they say.

Had the same issue and tried the solutions provided by Carbine to no joy, had to use an vpn to get it done as well.

Lets hope they can work this out, I certainly don't want to connect to a vpn every time i need to patch.

After those files they asked me to use another program "Ping Plotter" to generate yet another report for them. That was a while ago, so I'll see what they say.

I had the same issue on FiOS.

Verizon has been having the craziest routing issues for about a month now, even with their business class customers.
They have yet to admit any type of fault or provide any sort of solution.
I've been on the phone with them daily.

Well, I figured this would happen, but this is the most recent support reply I received.

Greetings, Citizen of Nexus!

Our network team has analyzed the data you provided and has confirmed that the issue is not due to any issue on our side. In our opinion, the root of the problem is most likely at Verizon FIOS end, especially since we have been getting similar reports from other players using the Verizon FIOS network. ( https://forums.wildstar-online.com/foru ... ues/page-8 )

We urge you to report the issue to your ISP directly. You can use the PingPlotter data you provided to show that the problem happens before our servers. Generally the more of these reports an ISP receives, the quicker they will address the issue.

Additionally, players have provided some workarounds in the above forum post that may be of use. Please be aware that player provided workarounds are not endorsed by Carbine Studios or NCSOFT and using them will be at your own risk.

We are very sorry that we are unable to resolve this issue for you, but you must understand that we are unable to make changes to the network where your problem originates.

Thanks,

Jordan

That is nonsense. There has been chatter on the official forums that it has something to do with the NCSoft servers having some weird IP problems but nothing official being said. The "fix" players were coming up with involved going into your PC's host file and editing it which I have zero interest in doing.

Well I'm sure eventually it will be worked out one way or another. Until it is, I'm going to continue VPN-ing through the patcher.
