Addons for this weekend
Re: Addons for this weekend
Not certain why you would need to mail stuff to alts with shared bank space. But I guess you could use it a storage while it sets in the mail box. I plan on doing a lot of crafting, as I wait for them to come down with the first Nerf hammer on the classes before leveling my first main.
Re: Addons for this weekend
Oooh... that does sound good!
Re: Addons for this weekend
Please let us know how that works out? I'm not very tech savy, so anything that makes add ons easier would be welcome indeed!
*What about Curse? Do they have something also? I recall using them for WoW?
Re: Addons for this weekend
Here are the ones I am running they are working great.
Tameriel Foundry's FTC Combat log
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info23-FTCCombatLog.html
This give your and target info with numbers and %.
Wykkyd's Framework
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info8-Wy ... ework.html
Basic ui for all of Wykkyd's addons plus Bazgrim's in game info bar.
Wykkyd's Outfitter "Requires Wykkyd's Framework"
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info52-W ... itter.html
Allows you to save equipment set to fast swap while out of combat.
It reads action bar sets also but I have not played with that function yet.
Instructions on how to install addons.
http://www.esoui.com/forums/faq.php?faq ... to_install
There is a Manager that they have in beta, which will automaticly update you addons
http://minion.mmoui.com/
To manually install your AddOns:
1. Download your chosen addon
2. Extract the files to a folder on your desktop.
3. Open your ESO folder.
If using a PC, the typical default install path is:
C:\Users\< username >\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\
If using a Macintosh, the typical default install path is:
~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/
4. In the 'live' folder, create a new folder called AddOns (if it doesnÔÇÖt already exist)
5. Open the AddOns folder
6. Copy the files from the folder on your desktop into the AddOns folder
7. Your final path should look like:
PC:
C:\Users\\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\< AddOn A FolderName >\< files >
C:\Users\\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\< AddOn B FolderName >\< files >
C:\Users\\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\< AddOn C FolderName >\< files >
Mac:
~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/AddOns/< AddOn A FolderName >/< files >
~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/AddOns/< AddOn B FolderName >/< files >
~/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/AddOns/< AddOn C FolderName >/< files >
(where < AddOn A Folder > < .B. > < .C. > are the names of the actual folders that the addons create)
9. Log into game. At the character select screen, there should be an "AddOns" button in the lower left corner. Click on that. If any of the mods in the list that pops up say "out of date" or some such, choose the "Load Outdated AddOns" option.
10. Log the rest of the way into game, you should be up and running now.

Re: Addons for this weekend
I ran Minion all weekend long, using it to add or delete addons. It works great. It works exactly the same way as Curse did with WoW. But you get to chose 'auto-update' and not have to worry about new versions put out. Curse gaming didn't do this for you unless you paid for the premium edition.
Now the addons are easy to manage because there are so few, but once the game gets off and running, you are going to want to use a manager like Minion, plus it comes recommended by Esohead and ESOUI.
Re: Addons for this weekend
Just installed Minion, seems to make installation hassle-free, also has an auto update feature so I won't have to keep manually checking back all the time.

Re: Addons for this weekend
Looks like there are some new addons that I would love to try come launch
Scrolling Battle Text
Loot Drop (just in case I go all auto loot)
Gridview Bags
Visual Durability Indicator
Equipment Rarity Border (gots to see dem purps )
Improved Experience Bar ( I like being able to see numbers)
Improved Attributes Bar (again I like seeing numbers)

Re: Addons for this weekend
It looks like the most recent API changes have gutted the entire Addon community. From what I understand you will now only see your damage, damage done to you.
They removed API features:
you can only see your own damage numbers now
you can see how much damage you take, but not what kind of damage (no spell info) or from who (which player hit you). What kind of damage might seem obvious, but in this game, there is for example a fireball spell that does not do fire damage...
you can no longer see your Resistances, spell penetration, critical damage...etc. They restricted character information.
You can no longer see enemy cast bars
You can no longer see your own buffs (short buffs), in a buff window (the buff animations are still there) ie: lightning form, critical surge, mutagen (you can see food buffs, and it seems, buffs that last a minute or more)
You can no longer see what any other player picks up (loot window is restricted)
They really need to look at this decision and make a better decision. Here is a link to the Reddit Post
