My name is Ryan, I'm 31, and I've been playing MMOs since I was about 17 if you count this old game made by Sierra who's name I can't remember. I transitioned from that to Shadowbane, to Final Fantasy Online then WoW. I spent about 5-6 years on WoW. Most of my time on WoW was spent with a very serious raiding guild with a weekly schedule. As my free time became more valuable I transitioned to a less hardcore but still competitive raiding guild and was there until I quit. From WoW I moved to SWtoR, and raided consistently with a guild made up of mostly R/L friends.
I'm undecided on whether or not I will get into any high end content with Wildstar and expect my leveling process to be slow as I'm in peak season with my career and don't expect to slow down until late fall.
In terms of myself and what I bring to the guild. I talk/entertain for a living so I enjoy talking in Vent/Teamspeak/Mumble. I'm a horrible fit for any guild that expects silence during a raid, if that's the case, pass on me. I'm also a bad fit for those that are easily offended. Keyword is easily. I'm not going to sit and spray profanity into guild chat for no reason or spout off racist comments but if something in game looks like a penis, I'm not going to not point it out. I had a reputation in all of my old guilds for ridiculous but still effective boss fight explanations as well as inspirational speeches while learning new content (AKA Wipe Night).
Long story short, if this were a job application I would leave out the fact that I can't resist a dick joke, but considering this is a game and I don't have to be professional I'm throwing it out there as I'd rather you not invite me than have to boot me for being 31 and still thinking poop is funny.
Character name is Roostar, I'm a medic.
