Hi. I have recently picked up Wildstar and was looking to join you guys here. I'll just copy my application I used for the SWTOR guild. It's not plagiarism if I copy myself right?
I am a bit of an altaholic. I play pretty regularly unless a new game comes out that steals my attention for awhile. Though there isn't really anything on the horizon I'm interested in other than Destiny which isn't until [strike]next[/strike] this summer.
My gaming history is quite long. I started online gaming in 94 back in Neverwinter Nights on AOL and joined my first guild (of which I'm still a member, we're about to celebrate the guild's 20th anniversary, though there are so few of us left) Knights of the Round Table. After AOL shut down NWN, I tried Sierra's The Realm for a little while then quit online gaming for many months. Then I tried Ultima Online for several months, but after awhile I started waking up in cold sweats hearing the words "Corp Por" from the shadows, so I quickly jumped ship when Everquest was released and stayed there mostly uninterrupted till the Planes of Power expansion (I did take short breaks to try Anarchy Online, Earth and Beyond and several others who's name has been lost to time and my old age). My next major online game was Star Wars Galaxy where I was a Master Weaponsmith on the Tarquinas server. Loved that bug ridden game right up until they started "fixing" it. After their changes I moved on to World of Warcraft where I mostly stayed (though I'd occasionally come back to SWG for a month or so). I played through the Lich King expansion. Though often I would take breaks and go play with my first guild from NWN some in Everquest 2 on the Permafrost server. Leading up to SWTOR was mostly a revolving door of WoW, EQ2 and SWG with occasionally stops in Warhammer Online, Matrix Online, LOTRO and others that I've again forgotten.
With the release of SWTOR I joined Infinity Squadron (a guild from my old server in SWG though I was never a member of it there) and we raided pretty regularly right up until May of 12. That's when people started leaving and taking breaks and the guild just kind of fizzled out then sadly. After we fell below the amount of people we needed for raids, I started taking time off from the game as well. I played some other MMOs though the only one that I have regularly played any is The Secret World.
And that's about it. Future wise, I have my eye on [strike]Elder Scrolls Online[/strike] and Everquest Next.
About me personally, I'm a 38 year old who works in IT. No family, just a bossy cat who expects his Temptation treats [strike]four[/strike] fourty times a day.
