Too much? My fiance will say that I come off too strong sometimes... HAHA
I am 34 years old working on an MBA/CPA and may eventually conquer the epic quest of "what I want to be when I grow up". Career wise, I make decent money doing something I enjoy but it is not very challenging (which is good while in school). Why would I share this? Cause my educational/work resume got better and my gaming resume got worse.
I left WoW roughly 4 years ago due to the attitude of guilds, the GS numbers, the immature bratties and the lack of family. When I started WoW in 03-04 (memory loss), you were FORCED to join a guild, be a productive member in the community if you ever wanted to accomplish end game content. That created my passion for gaming (prior to that I was a totally different person and was going down a very bad path), I had made real friends with my online family and turned a downward spiral into attending college (which a lot of guildies had done and I wanted for myself) and developing new real life friends and so forth. When WoW lost that feel (early ICC), I really lost that piece of me. Long story short, I have a new woman in my life who is very supportive of gaming in all forms (she will be joining the guild this afternoon) and I believe this game will bring back that old school WoW feel.
All I was worried about was finding a guild that fits with my maturity, friendliness and overall good-nature. After reading the posts in the W* forums, I believe this to be a perfect fit.
Game info:
I love to tank, either MT or OT, I love the stress and the work that goes into being a great tank.
I like to heal - pretty good at it in WoW, just not my first choice.
DPS - Meh, I usally have a DPS alt just 'cause, but have never found a DPS style that makes me go "That should be my main!"
PvE - I am all about this, dungeon runs, raids, helping guildies gear up and whatever else is needed. I just love it because I feel it is you versus the Devs and these Devs do not want to lose easily.
PvP - Meh, the only time PvP interests me in a serious way is as a healer. I do really enjoy healing in BGS. Arenas and duels are uninspiring for me.
I likely over-shared but hey, if I am going to rekindle my gaming career with you guys, some of you should know a little about me.
