Yeti - Exile

Hello Grievance,
My name is Justin. I am 30. I work in IT support for a large insurance company. I work specifically in their datacenter so I'm one of the people who can't hear white noise until it's mentioned. It can be an exciting place to work because I get my share of walking, running cable, climbing, witnessing the polar extremes of cable management or organizational nightmares so to say. Thankfully, it's not all physically demanding too. I get to audit assets and play with metrics from time to time over battery acid-like coffee.

This wasn't always my line of work. It used to be installing flooring and decks. That was until the housing market crashed here in the US. I took the opportunity to move, and follow my interests in technology and computers.

I grew up playing dragster (blowing up my engine before the start), space invaders (shooting thru all the shields to leave my older brother un protected) for Atari, Blaster Master and Contra on nintendo, Sonic on sega and James Bond on Nin64. My love for rpg started with final fantasy 7 on ps1. A few years and consoles later I have my first pc and tried my first mmorpg Rappelz when it launched. I was addicted. I have under my belt many years with titles including EQ, Perfect World, City of Heroes, and then some really sentimental games.
My wife, sister and I started Aion together from launch and ....you know, I should stop mentioning launches. As gamers, most all games we encounter are played from launch because that's the most exciting way. Anyway, from there we went to Rift, Tera, Guildwars2 and until now that's where I took a long break. I usually invest about two years in a game before I get burnt out or, just something really exciting comes around the corner.

Through all of these games I've hopped between different guilds and small groups, but none that appear as structured or as enduring as this one. My friends will be joining this community so, that's how I heard about it. I don't know if any of them applied yet, and also don't know what names they will be using. My sister should be going by Simza, but I don't believe she's applied yet. My wife, who normally goes by Thrill, or Thrillian, unfortunately will not be playing from launch. She has been taking a long break after Rift and Guildwars 2 like myself, but will continue to contribute her free time to a newfound love of photography.

I'd really like to find a long standing community that many people come together at to share ideas, game time, friendship and competitiveness that doesn't dissipate after each game but allows for breaks should the need arise. I am not the most social person out there, but I do like to belong and contribute to a rewarding and consistent bunch when gaming that will be around even if 1 game grows stale.

I enjoy PVP a little more than PVE but plan to partake in both. A friend has already sold his soul to a Chua Medic, wile my sister is determined to play an Exile, so I figured that will be how I split the two play styles. I'm glad to hear that Grievance will have Dom and Exile options. It resolves this decision I'd have to make.

I look forward to getting to know the community better. Thanks for your time!

Justin
