Exile: twinim introduction

Hi all,
I am really excited to be here, it has been a while since I have been looking forward to a game as much as Wildstar, I have been following it for a couple of years now. It has also been some time that I have applied to a guild, much less a guild like Grievance appears to be.
So to begin, a little about myself.
I am currently 42 married and have 2 kids 9 and 6. I am a high school culinary arts teacher, which I love doing, by the way, but I have had many jobs, in and out of the culinary field, up until this one a few years ago. I live in Phoenix, AZ and besides the heat in the summer, I really enjoy it. Aside from MMO's I enjoy board games, miniatures painting and gaming (specifically Malifaux currently), RC Cars, and spending quality time with my fam.
I have been playing MMO's since EQ in 2000 where I was able to raid a lot and really spent a lot of time in game. I have played just about every major release that there has been in the MMO realm including EQ2, WoW, Guild Wars 1 and 2, SWTOR, LotR:O, Tera, Rift, EQ Next:Landmark, The Secret World, and Eve. I quite playing WoW a few years ago and kind of started looking around for a new place to land.
It has been a challenge to find something that really keeps my attention, mainly because the guild I belonged to in EQ and WoW did not have a big presence in the other games. There was some representation, but the people I was really friends with were not there.
I am looking for a fresh start. New game which has been really fun so far and a new guild which seems like an excellent place to hang my hat, so to speak.
I have been a guild leader, an officer, and a regular member in several guilds, sometimes within the same one and while I enjoy all roles, I currently just enjoy being a member, having said that I am a drama free player. I don't create it and I do not participate in it. I just want to log in and enjoy the game with a group of friends.
I would say I am a fairly casual player, I enjoy raiding and PvP but my schedule hasn't lined up with guild events in a while. Hopefully that will change a bit in this game.
