Hello Folks,

I am a retired, married, 55 year old grandfather, who has been gaming since my two sons could hold a controller. I am married to my wife of 35 years and we have three granddaughters and two grandsons. The oldest granddaughter plays soccer in college. The other two granddaughters are currently playing softball in highschool. The two grandsons play just about every sport out there and are in first and second grade. All the grandchildren are gamers.

I am what you would consider a hardcore gamer. Now that I am retired, I have all the time in the world to enjoy gaming. My wife reads, so she never had a problem with my gaming. I love open world PvP and hate battlegrounds with a passion. I like raiding, crafting and I experience everything that a game has to offer.

My oldest son is the one who hooked me on MMO gaming. I have played DAOC, SWG, WOW, LOTRO, Warhammer, AOC, Rift, SWTOR and GW2 just to name a few. I have also beta tested numerous other games over the years. I am currently testing two MMOÔÇÖs that will be out in the next couple years. NDA will not allow me to say which ones.

I am looking forward to three games. Wildstar, Camelot Unchained and EQ Next. Wildstar is going to be a real fun game. I am looking forward to the 40 man raids and the housing. I hope they add an engineer class with one of the two remaining classes. My plan is to play Wildstar until the other games get released.

Camelot Unchained will feed my PvP addiction. I invested in Camelot Unchained during the Kickstarter. The crafting will be similar to SWG and if the PvP is anything like DAOC it will be an awesome game.

I never played EQ but I should have. EQ Next could be the next great MMO. I hope it will be more of a sandbox then theme park.

I was looking for a gaming community that I could be part of for years to come. Grievance looks like the place for me. I am looking forward to gaming with all of you.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been working my way through the Grievance forums and I am surprised by so many things I have been reading.

First off I watched the video of the get together / meeting in June 2013. Getting to know one another in this manner is just awesome. Some time ago, I went camping in Ontario, Canada with some people I played DAOC with. We had a blast. We fished, smoked Cuban cigars ( legal in Canada ) and drank way to much during the week. I can't say I will be going to Pensacola in 2014 but I am considering it. I live just north of Jacksonville, in Kingsland, GA, so Pensacola isn't all that far.

Secondly I am impressed by the organization of the community. To be playing all these games with so many people is unreal. I have been an officer in small guilds and that took considerable time on my part. I can't imagine how dedicated the leadership has to be to keep things moving in Grievance. I tip my cap to all of you.
