A lot has changed in Aion over the years and the game is currently in its 3.7 patch, with 4.0 on the horizon. This post will lead you to the information you need to get you started on your adventures in Atreia. I want to keep this short and sweet, hitting on the most notable changes and linking to the main Aion site for a more detailed breakdown where applicable.
Fast Track Server
The first notable change is the Fast-Track Server. The Fast-Track Server was created to speed up leveling for those who want to reach end game quicker and was introduced in the 3.1 patch. ItÔÇÖs basically a no pvp way to level with an EXP boost and you donÔÇÖt have to leave your home server to do it! HereÔÇÖs what the DevÔÇÖs say about Fast-Track:
The Fast-Track Server offers a 100% XP boost up to level 50, and an enhanced rifting system fun for PvPers and friendly to PvE players! Access the Fast-Track Server by clicking System Menu ( O key ) > Go to Channel > Go to Fast-Track Server.
*There is a button that has been added to the right of your tool bar you can click that will bring up the Server Select.
99% of players level this way to avoid the well-known grind Aion was associated with.
Atreian Atlas
The Atreian Atlas is a guide that helps new players on their journey through Atreia. If you follow the missions laid out in it, you receive rewards for completing them. The video and power map features of the Atreian Atlas add another element of the fun to your adventure!
ItÔÇÖs a neat feature that was introduced around the time the Free to play model started.

The Fast-Track Server and Atreian Atlas both were the two biggest changes to the game to help new and returning players. The game still has a LOT to offer and patch 4.0 will add even more goodies to an already full basket. IÔÇÖll cover 4.0 in a separate post soon.
